All parents who have a child with deafblindness, ages birth to 22 years, who is registered with the Ohio Center for Deafblind Education, are invited to this annual, no-cost weekend. Lodging, meals, and materials are provided. Stipends are available to assist with childcare expenses. You are invited to come and network with other parents during this informative and relaxing weekend.

Saturday, April 27  | Every Family Has a Story: Unleash the Power of Your Personal Story
Presented by Kimberly Christensen

Kim will share her family story, The Stories We’ve Lived, as well as provide an engaging, hands-on workshop for families to develop personal experience stories that can be used in a variety of ways such as sharing information, inspiring change, charting a vision, promoting advocacy efforts, and fostering policy change.

Transition Planning for a Good Life
Family consultants from the Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities (OCECD) will present information and questions that will allow families to take a more personal look at preparing their child/children for the many transitions he/she/they will experience, starting with their early years and extending to preparation for graduation and postsecondary success.
