The Ohio Center for Deafblind Education will not rent or sell your personal information to any third party. OCDBE does not tolerate nor engage in any form of “spam” email or unsolicited telemarketing, and we guarantee that your personal information will only be used by The Ohio Center for Deafblind Education representative in response to your requests for assistance or to process your product orders, with the following exceptions:

Collection of Personally Identifiable Information

Requests for Service

When you request service, The Ohio Center for Deafblind Education will ask for your personal and contact information so that we may respond to your request for service and fulfill your current and future customer support needs. We do not share that information with third parties unless necessary to provide you with the service requested.

Product Orders

When ordering products from this site, you will be asked to provide contact information such as your name, address, email address, and telephone number. We will use the information you provide only to process your order, we do not share that information with third parties except to the extent necessary to complete the order.

Voluntary Customer Surveys

We may periodically conduct both business and individual customer surveys. We encourage our customers to participate in these surveys because they provide us with important information that helps us with improve the types of services we offer and how we provide them to you. We take the information we receive from individuals responding to our customer surveys and aggregate it with the responses of other customers to create broader generic responses to the survey questions (such as gender, age, residence, hobbies, education, employment, industry sector, or other demographic information). We use the aggregated information to improve the quality of our services to you and develop new services and products. This aggregated; non-personally identifying information may be shared with third parties.

While we make every effort to ensure the integrity and security of our network and systems, we cannot and do not guarantee that our security measures will prevent third-party “hackers” from illegally obtaining this information.
